The Essington Hawks secured a brilliant victory in Round 3 of the Staffordshire Touch Series, showcasing exceptional teamwork, growth, and inclusive play at Rugeley RFC.

Essington Rugby Club is delighted to announce the appointment of our new senior coaching team for the 2026/27 season, with Steve Ayland taking over as Head Coach and Adam Biggins joining as Assistant/Forwards Coach.

Essington RUFC is seeking a passionate and driven Head Coach to lead our senior contact rugby squad in Midlands 4 West (North). If you are looking for a fantastic opportunity to develop players, shape matchdays, and help re-establish our second team within a highly supportive, family-friendly club environment, we want to hear from you. Our Annual General Meeting will take place at the clubhouse on Saturday 20th June at 1:00 PM, followed immediately by a club BBQ. This meeting is your opportunity as a member to vote on key committee positions and help shape the future policies of the club for the upcoming season. Your club, your voice.

Next season is shaping up nicely. The provisional line-up for Counties 4 MW (Central) is locked in, and we’ll be welcoming some new faces alongside a few old friends back to High Hill for the 2026/27 campaign. Here is a look at who we will be facing in the league.
