Head Coach Vacancy: Are You Our Future Coach?

Essington RUFC is officially on the lookout for a great Head Coach to spearhead our senior contact rugby side for the upcoming 2026/27 season.

We are currently sitting mid-table in Midlands 4 West (North) with a fantastic, committed group of players. With the right direction, structure, and coaching expertise, we know this squad has the potential to climb further and achieve great success.

This is a brilliant opportunity to embed yourself in a community club and play a key role in our rugby development. Working closely with our First Team Captain, you will take ownership of training plans and lead matchday operations for both Saturday league fixtures and friendly games.

Beyond the first XV, you will have a direct hand in shaping the wider club. A key focus will be inputting into the re-establishment of our second team, collaborating closely with our touch rugby section, junior lead, and second team captain. You won't be doing it alone, either—several club members are ready to step up and assist with your coaching plan wherever required.

What the Role Involves:

• Training & Tactics: Planning and leading contact rugby training sessions for the senior squad.

• Matchday Management: Managing first-team operations, fixtures, and game-day strategies.

• Club Growth: Helping to rebuild and re-establish our second team structure.

• Player Development: Improving individual player performance, skills, and confidence.
